Kwame Owusu Danso, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Movement of Change, has boldly committed to upholding integrity and fighting corruption if given the mandate.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile, monitored by MyNewsGh.com, he expressed his readiness to resign from his position if Alan Kyerematen fails to deliver on promises made to Ghanaians, emphasising that his principles are unwavering.

“Corruption has plagued our system for far too long. If Alan doesn’t fulfil the commitments we’ve made to the people of Ghana, I will be the first vice president to resign. My principles are non-negotiable,” he said firmly, reflecting a no-nonsense approach to governance.

Highlighting his track record, Owusu Danso pointed to his resignation from AirtelTigo as an example of his commitment to values over convenience.

“My credibility is my most valuable asset. I’ve walked away from roles before when I believed the principles weren’t right, and I will do it again if necessary,” he declared, projecting an image of a leader who values ethics above all.

Owusu Danso’s journey to politics is one of remarkable transformation. Once a celebrated Hiplife artist, he transitioned into law and public service, a path he attributes to his determination to create change.

Reflecting on his music career, he spoke passionately about how deeply he connects with the struggles of Ghanaian youth.

“Music was my way out of poverty, and I know for many young people, it still represents hope. That’s why I believe I’m uniquely positioned to address their challenges,” he explained, underscoring his commitment to empowering the next generation.

He emphasised the importance of creating opportunities for young people, particularly in tackling unemployment and fostering entrepreneurship.

Owusu Danso’s understanding of the creative arts and the challenges young Ghanaians face has informed his vision for policies that are actionable and impactful.

“Our youth need real solutions, not promises. They need someone who understands their struggles and is ready to act,” he said.
