Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede has turned heads after shaving off her natural hair for her role in an upcoming movie.

The 41-year-old actress shared her daring makeover on her Instagram page, highlighting how crucial the choice was to embody the character in the movie.

Jegede has been nurturing her long, natural hair for several years.

The actress clarified that she uses herself as a tool to portray the right message in a movie and that her passion for her work is limitless, which is why she is prepared to take chances to perform professionally.

She is learning how to speak appropriate Yoruba for the movie role in addition to shaving off her long hair.

    She wrote,

“I love my job too much not to take risks… I see myself as a tool to convey the appropriate message, if the script deserves it, I will do whatever needs to be done to give the story life. Apart from this drastic change, I am learning to speak proper Yoruba language”

The actress’s admirers have commended her for her artistic and creative decision to embody the movie character while they anticipate the release of the movie.
