Founder of the Ajagurajah Movement, Bishop Kwabena Boakye Asiamah, has claimed that rapper Medikal may have taken his own life during the collapse of his marriage to Fella Makafui, if not for the timely support and influence of his close friend, Shatta Wale.
Ajagurajah made this disclosure in an interview with GhanaWeb’s Elsie Lamar, while discussing the spiritual fortification of some Ghanaian artistes.

According to him, Shatta Wale’s presence in Medikal’s life offered protection at a time when the rapper was going through emotional distress.
He explained that the rapper’s marriage to Fella Makafui, which began in 2020 and ended in divorce in 2024, left Medikal in pain.
He believes that without the spiritual fortification Shatta Wale carries, Medikal could have gone as far as killing himself.
“Shatta Wale, for instance, is a dangerous individual. If it weren’t for him, Medikal could have committed suicide. What happened to Medikal was a trap set by his enemies. Because Medikal survived his divorce with Fella Makafui, he would live long. No matter what people say, Medikal was deeply in love with Fella. Remember, she is Ewe, ‘ayigbe toffee.’ Medikal would be there and be self-talking,” Ajagurajah said.

The spiritual leader also described Stonebwoy as another artiste who carries spiritual fortification.
He linked this to the date of release of Stonebwoy’s Torcher EP on September 9, a number he said holds spiritual meaning.
“Because of the 9, 9, 9, I’m scared of him now too. Nine stands for completion, nine stands for new beginning, the number nine stands for life. That is why when a woman is pregnant, it takes nine months for her to deliver and have a new beginning. And when you turn the 9, 9, 9 upsides down, 9 is the only number that has two faces,” he explained.
