Ghanaian actor and comedian Broda Sammy has stirred controversy with some recent comments he made about his sexual activities.

During a recent interview on Okay FM, the musician was asked how he would respond to being labeled a womaniser, given his public behavior that seems to portray him as such.

In response, Broda Sammy stated unequivocally that he would proudly accept the label of a “womaniser” but would react violently to any insinuation that he is gay.

“If someone tells me I like women, I am even happier. At least the person did not tell me I am gay.

“They can make up stories about me being a womanizer and all that. It is even a plus to me. I wouldn’t be bothered. Broda Sammy also said he does not view having sexual relationships with women as a sin, provided they are consensual.

“As for me liking women, if the lady consents to the affair, I haven’t committed any sin. It is only a sin if I rape the lady or commit adultery with her. But as long as she is single and consenting, we haven’t done anything wrong,” he said.

The comments have sparked strong reactions on social media, with many criticizing the comedian for promoting promiscuity, while others have interpreted his statements as a reflection of his beliefs.
