Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko

Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko believes his side can secure a positive result in their Ghana Premier League Week 28 fixture against league leaders Bibiani GoldStars on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

The match will be held at Dun’s Park, where the hosts remain unbeaten in their last 23 home league matches.

GoldStars currently top the table with 50 points, while Medeama sits seventh with 41 points.

Medeama’s away form has been poor this season, managing just one win in 12 games and losing each of their last six on the road.

During a pre-match interview, Tanko noted that despite the odds not being in his favor, he is optimistic his side will win the game.

“When you look at all the games we played away, we were almost the better side. I don’t think this one will change,” he said.

The Medeama boss added that his team is working to correct their errors and approach Sunday’s clash with renewed focus.

“We have to put the mistakes that we are doing behind us and then try to play our normal football. I think we are going to get something from there,” he said.

A win for Medeama could close the gap on the top four, while GoldStars will be aiming to extend their lead at the summit.
