Ghanaian sprinter, Ibrahim Fuseini, has claimed victory in the men’s 100m race at the ATX Sprint Classic in Texas, clocking a remarkable time of 9.85 seconds.

Despite facing a significant tailwind of +2.4 meters per second (exceeding the legal limit for record purposes), Fuseini outran a competitive field, showcasing his growing prowess on the track.

Fuseini outpaced American athlete David Foster, who finished second with a time of 9.95 seconds.

Dapriest Hogans also recorded 9.95 seconds, securing third place in a photo finish.

Terrence Jones from the Bahamas took fourth, just a fraction behind with 9.96 seconds.

The tight race finishes highlighted the high level of competition at the event.

While the wind assistance means Fuseini’s time will not count as a new personal best or national record, his impressive performance under challenging conditions, beating experienced rivals, marks a major milestone in his sprinting career.

This win has generated considerable excitement among track fans and analysts, hinting at a bright future for Fuseini in upcoming international competitions.
