English footballer of Ghanaian descent, Callum Hudson-Odoi, has expressed his desire to play for the England national team again and prove his worth if given the opportunity.

He stated that, with his current form for his club, he will do his utmost to earn a place in the starting eleven and establish himself in the squad.

The Nottingham Forest attacker revealed that he is patiently waiting for a call-up from Three Lions head coach Thomas Tuchel to showcase his potential.

“If the possibility and chance come [for me to return to England], I will have to go there and prove myself,” he told the BBC.

The 24-year-old last played for England in 2019 at the age of 19 and was left out of the recent squad for the March 2025 international break.

His omission means he remains eligible to play for Ghana, a possibility that has been discussed since 2022.

He became eligible for a nationality switch after playing fewer than three competitive matches for England before turning 21.

Hudson-Odoi has been one of Nottingham Forest’s standout players this season, playing a key role in their push for European football.

He has scored five goals and provided two assists, including match-winning strikes against Liverpool and Manchester City.
