The Black Stars and LA Galaxy winger, Joseph Paintsil has expressed his aspiration to pursue a calling as a prophet after retiring from his football career.
Speaking on GHOne TV with Monica Bukari, the talented winger shared his aspiration to become a prophet, revealing his deep passion for worshipping God, a practice he began at a very young age.
“I just want to be a prophet when God calls me, I want to preach the gospel at the end of my career, if I’m being called because I’m not going to call myself. I really want to do that at the end of my career if God steps in”.
Paintsil has been a member of the Black Stars squad through difficult periods, including back-to-back group-stage eliminations at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021 and 2023.
Since joining the first team, he has earned 15 national caps and provided two assists.
In December 2024, Paintsil played a crucial role in LA Galaxy’s remarkable triumph in the MLS Playoffs final, scoring a first-half goal that sealed the club’s first MLS title in a decade.
