Ghanaian comic actor, Kalybos, has stated that he would opt for the 24-hour economy policy proposed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the National Cathedral project by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a discussion on the Girls Aloud podcast on November 13, 2024, Kalybos, a staunch NPP supporter, was asked by one of the panellists to choose between the 24-hour economy policy and the National Cathedral.

In response, Kalybos explained that he believes the 24-hour economy would be more beneficial to the country, especially since the National Cathedral is still under construction.

“Now the cathedral is not being built yet, so I can’t really compare it to the 24-hour economy policy. But if I had to choose, I would go for the 24-hour economy,” he said.

The actor also addressed his wife’s reaction to the harsh comments they received on social media after their marriage.

According to Kalybos, his wife is not bothered by the negativity and understands the nature of his career.

“We sit and watch these harsh comments from social media and laugh about it. My wife is not bothered at all because she understands the kind of industry I’m in,” he shared.

In 2022, Kalybos publicly declared his support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and has since been an active campaigner for the political party.
