Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the former Director of Communications for the 2024 Bawumia Campaign, has made it clear that he is not seeking any executive position within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), despite facing opposition from certain individuals within the party.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, Aboagye addressed internal tensions following the party’s electoral defeat, stating that while some members have attempted to undermine him, he remains committed to the NPP.
He acknowledged that his rapid rise in the party has created resentment, particularly among older members who struggle to accept his influence.
Aboagye also pointed out that the competition for key positions within the party has fueled animosity from certain individuals.
However, he emphasized that his primary focus has always been on supporting Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia rather than pursuing any personal political ambitions.
“I have no desire to pursue any executive role within the NPP, and I will not abandon the party because of a few individuals trying to undermine me,” he affirmed.
He further noted that despite the opposition, he has strong backing from party supporters and leadership, which keeps him motivated to continue working for the party.
