Ghanaian rapper Trigmatic has reflected on how parting ways with his ex-wife has affected him.

In an interview on TV3’s Day Show on November 14, 2024, Trigmatic expressed his regret over the end of their marriage.

Trigmatic emphasised that, despite the breakup being difficult for him, his relationship with God helped him through it.

“It’s been a learning curve for me. I have learned so much, and I don’t think it’s something anyone should go through. It was tough on me, but thankfully I had God… We sometimes take our relationship with God for granted until we face challenges.”

“It also made me appreciate having a family. I had my flaws, but it could have been better. I wish I were still married to her because she is an amazing person,” he said.

Trigmatic also mentioned that he is grateful to have a child with his ex-wife. “I haven’t thought about reconciling with her, I must say. What I am happy about is that marrying her is one of the greatest gifts I have given my kids. Marriage is beautiful, as it comes with many things,” he added.

    Background

In 2017, Trigmatic married his longtime sweetheart, Dita Oduro-Agyei, in a private ceremony. However, earlier this year, Trigmatic revealed in an interview that they had separated three years ago but had kept the news private for some reason.
