Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame has revealed that he is in talks with the government for a major collaborative project, expected to be launched before the end of the current administration.

In an interview on Joy Prime TV, the rapper said although plans are underway, his academic responsibilities have slowed down his ability to fully engage with relevant state institutions.

“Because of school, I have been a little busy. Research and literature review. I have been a little busy so I have not had the time to pay courtesy calls on (the right institutions),” he said.

While he didn’t give full details about the nature of the project, Okyeame Kwame noted that it would be a historic collaboration between himself and the government.

“But I have visited KOD, we have had conversations, and hopefully, I will go and water those conversations and I think something amazing will come out. Before the end of this four years, I will do something with government and it will be historic,” he stated.

When asked whether he had any political affiliations, the rapper responded, “Me, you know I am ‘Made in Ghana,’” reinforcing his long-standing identity as an artiste committed to national pride.
