Joyce Blessing speaks on missing out on TGMA nominations Joyce Blessing speaks on missing out on TGMA nominations

Ghanaian gospel musician Joyce Blessing has revealed that she missed out on the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) nominations because she was out of the country at the time.

According to the Victory hitmaker, she did not make it onto this year’s nomination list because she had traveled abroad during the filing period.

She added that her song ‘Over Do’ had performed well during the year under review and would have been submitted for nomination if she had been in the country.

“I was unable to file for the TGMA this year because I was out of the country. By the time I returned, the filing window had closed. I would have submitted my song Over Do if I had been in town,” she explained in an interview on Onua FM.

Joyce Blessing further emphasised that although she traveled with her management team, they unfortunately missed the nomination window together.

However, she did not attribute the oversight to any negligence on the part of her team.

“I won’t say this is an error on my management’s part, as they have always filed on my behalf successfully. This was just an unusual situation since we were traveling at the time, so I don’t see it as a major issue,” she stated.

Joyce Blessing, who was nominated last year for her hit song Victory, was unable to win the Gospel Song of the Year category, as she lost to Nacee’s Aseda.
