Ghanaian Kumawood actor Nana Yeboah has disclosed the humble beginnings of his acting career.
He recounted how little he earned from his first movie role nearly two decades ago.
Speaking on a cooking show on UTV on November 30, 2025, he shared that although the amount was small, he treated it with gratitude and turned it into a spiritual seed.
“I shot my first movie 18 years ago. I was paid GH₵20 but I didn’t spend a penny from it. I took it to church, prayed on the money and used it to sow a seed in church,” he said.

According to him, that gesture marked the beginning of better opportunities.
“After that, by God’s grace, work started coming. I shot couple of movies which helped me gain recognition,” he stated.
Nana Yeboah added that just when momentum was building for him internationally, the movie industry began experiencing a decline.
“When it got my turn to go global, the movie industry started fading off,” he added.
