Renowned Ghanaian actor Daniel Adeleye has recounted the challenges he faced after being lured to the United Kingdom (UK).

In an interview with Zionfelix, shared on Facebook on June 19, 2025, Daniel Adeleye revealed that he was enticed by a woman he had previously been in a relationship with in the UK.

He explained that although he was not earning much from acting, he loved the profession and remained hopeful that things would improve over time.

“I love this profession, and I didn’t want to leave at all. It was actually a woman who lured me to England. She was my ex. And I just decided to go and see what would come of it,” he said.

Daniel Adeleye went on to describe the trauma he experienced after moving to the UK.

According to him, he was forced to sleep outside due to the severe hardships he encountered. However, he declined to go into further detail.

“It wasn’t easy. When I came to Ghana in 2013 and later returned to the UK, I went through a lot. It was extremely rough. Sometimes I had to sleep outside. But that’s a story for another day.

“It’s not by my strength or might, it’s God. I have good work now, everything is okay, and I am okay,” he added.
