Ghanaian gospel musician Efe Grace has disclosed that she was into Jazz music until she encountered God.

Narrating how her transition unfolded, Efe Grace, in an interview on Adom TV on August 19, 2025, revealed that she once faced tough situations, including her mother’s health issues and changes in personal relationships.

“I think around 2016-2017, some things happened in my family. My mother was ill for some time. Around that time, my relationship with people around me, a lot of things were happening” she said.

She continued, “Betrayals, disappointment here and there so it got to a time that people I thought would be there for me were nowhere to be found alongside what I was going through in my family. It wasn’t an easy one so anytime I’m praying, I cry a lot.”

Efe Grace recounted what happened on the fateful day she had a personal encounter with God.

“One time I was praying and crying when I heard a voice speak to me that if I will leave everything behind, he would take charge and I will see what he will do with my life. I heard that voice, it was so clear so after that encounter, I felt peace.”

She added, “I then decided to let everything go and leave everything on him. At that time, I was doing Jazz music so I had to stop all that just to focus on the things of God.”
