Ghanaian Highlife musician and actress Paulina Oduro has opened up on her long-standing admiration for legendary musician Kojo Antwi.

Speaking in an interview on Adom TV on June 29, 2025, she expressed that she was deeply infatuated with Kojo Antwi at one point in her life, but when she confessed her feelings, he simply brushed it off.

“I was totally besotted with Kojo Antwi. I knew him personally; he was a friend. I told him how I felt, but he laughed and said I should stop joking,” she recalled.

Paulina explained that although she was disappointed by his reaction, she chose not to pursue it any further out of respect for their friendship and his existing relationship at the time.

“I felt disappointed, but I didn’t want to force anything because I valued our friendship. Back then, he was in a relationship, though not yet married, so I held back,” she said

When asked if her decision was to avoid interfering in Kojo Antwi’s relationship, she clarified that wasn’t her primary reason.

“That wasn’t really it. I just think he didn’t take me seriously. I was also in a relationship then. I knew it wouldn’t work between us, but I still wanted him to know how much I admired him,” she said.

She further revealed that during that period, she was married to guitarist Alfred Bannerman, with whom she shares three children.

“At the time, I was married to Alfred Bannerman. We have three kids together. Though we’re no longer married, we remain very good friends,” she added.
