Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has opened up about his feelings for socialite Efia Odo, admitting that he would like to pursue a relationship with her despite currently dating his girlfriend, Maali.
In a candid discussion on the Rants, Bants, and Confessions podcast released on October 31, 2024, Shatta Wale revealed his affection for Efia Odo, explaining how he’s had numerous conversations with Maali, hoping that Efia would reciprocate his feelings.
“Sometimes when you turn around, I do fall for your beauty. I love you and you’re beautiful,” Shatta Wale shared, directing his words to Efia Odo. “I was telling Maali that if you (Efia) wanted what I wanted, we’d be a great couple. I want a relationship with you, not just because of my sexual interest, but because I genuinely love you.”
The “On God” hitmaker also expressed his appreciation for Maali, commending her for her support and understanding nature.
“Maali is a perfect match because she understands my job. She’s supportive, and sometimes, when I’m talking to her, she makes me feel like I should have met her earlier. Even when I talk to her about past relationships and women I’ve been with, she understands me,” he added.
