Speaking to journalists on Thursday, January 2, 2025, Afenyo-Markin emphasised his commitment to hard work and promised to serve diligently with God as his guide.

“The party will issue an official statement, but what I can say is that I thank the National Council for the trust reposed in me by confirming me to lead my side in Parliament. I can promise them one thing: hard work, hard work, with God being my guide,” he remarked.
