Founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has recounted how poverty led him to become a smoker at a young age.

In an interview on Hitz FM on November 6, 2024, the controversial prophet revealed that a friend introduced him to smoking marijuana when he was just 13 years old.

“I grew up in an extremely poor background. If there is a word beneath poverty, that is where I came from. So, at the age of thirteen, I started smoking marijuana,” he shared.

“A guy called Anokye took me to Odorna railway, and that was where we smoked. From 1999 to 2000, I used to buy kelewele from a woman in those days, but she refused to sell it to me because of my smoking habit,” he added.

In the same interview, Prophet Gaisie also admitted that he does not always get his prophecies right.

“Yeah, I sometimes get my prophecies wrong. Every prophet who gets his prophecies 100 percent right is fake. Sometimes, God would twist your lips so you make a mistake, so you will know you’re a human being,” he stated.
