Philip Danquah, the Chief Executive Officer of St. Philip Enterprise, has shared how he started his successful business with just GH₵2.40.

Speaking in an interview on M’ashyese3 on Adom TV, Mr. Danquah said he sold his coal pot for GH₵3.00 and used GH₵2.40 to begin selling underwear in Accra. Unfortunately, his goods were seized by the city taskforce on his first day. However, he managed to retrieve some items and continued selling.

He later moved to Circle, where things were still difficult. But during the 2000 general elections, while his friends returned to their villages to vote, he stayed and worked hard. That day, he made enough money to rent his first shop.

Over the years, he grew the business into St. Philip Enterprise, a well-known wholesale and retail company in Accra.

His story has inspired many Ghanaians, showing that with determination and hard work, success is possible—even from humble beginnings.
