Ghanaian singer Amaarae after recently showering praise on dancehall musician Stonebwoy, has also done the same for singer Shatta Wale.

In an interview with Adom TV, and shared on Instagram on January 8, 2025, the acclaimed musician, while addressing questions raised on social media about her preference for one musician over the other, noted that she is a neutral person.

According to Amaarae, she equally admires Shatta Wale for his immense contribution to the music industry and his community.

“I am a Shatta Wale fan as well, and I respect what he has done for his community. He really has an ‘I don’t care’ attitude and has influenced everyone.

“These are two kings who are co-existing, and they have both pushed the Afrodancehall culture everywhere. I don’t want any issues with SM and BHIM. I am a neutral person,” she said.

Amaarae additionally shared how she became affiliated with Stonebwoy.

According to her, she considers Stonebwoy a big brother after the musician encouraged her not to give up on her music career.

“Stonebwoy is my older brother. When I met him, I was 17 years old, and I am 31 years old now. When he saw me, he encouraged me not to stop doing music. I see him as family,” she added.
