Ghanaian media personality, Ohemaa Woyeje, has stated her reason for keeping her marital affairs away from social media.

In an interview with Emelia Brobbey on March 8, 2025, Ohemaa Woyeje noted that she prefers to keep issues surrounding her marriage private because there is nothing like a perfect marriage.

Citing her mother as an example, Ohemaa Woyeje explained that she has used the trauma her mother endured during her marriage as a guide.

Therefore, she believes it is irrelevant to publicly air her marital issues on social media, as many other celebrities do.

“Ghanaians like to talk so what I have seen about Ghanaians is that if you give them a chance, they will tell you how to live your life. When I was getting married, I didn’t seek advice from Ghanaians, therefore, if I am to divorce, there is no need to solicit advice from them… After 10 years of divorce between my parents, my mother didn’t go in for another man until my father came back for her.

“If I haven’t seen any marriage at all, I have seen that of my mother. Therefore, I won’t get married with the idea that marriage is a perfect institution. I don’t owe anyone an explanation regarding my marriage,” she said.

Ohemaa Woyeje added that no matter the circumstances surrounding her marriage, there won’t be a reason why she would solicit advice on social media.

“I have two children with my husband, so even if I get divorced today, there is no reason for me to come online and talk negatively about my husband. That doesn’t mean we have a perfect marriage. It means you are not welcome on issues surrounding my marriages,” she added.
