As the country celebrates Ghana’s 5-0 win against Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, comedian DKB has come out to apologise for praying against the team during the tenure of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

In a post on his X account on March 21, 2025, DKB, real name Derick Kobina Bonney, shared how his anger at the NPP-led administration led him to pray against the team so that the government would have nothing to brag about.

He apologised to the team, stating that the previous government never cared about the citizenry.

“I was so bitter with the previous government that I prayed vehemently against the Black Stars qualifying for the African Cup so that they wouldn’t have any football achievement to brag about.

“Sorry guys, the pain in my heart was unbearable! You don’t care about us, you don’t deserve honour,” DKB posted.

Meanwhile, following their 5-0 win against Chad, the Black Stars will then travel to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24, 2025.

    See the post below:

You don’t care about us, U don’t deserve honour.
