Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown has expressed her hope that the law will be lenient toward the lead pastor of Alive Chapel Ministries International, Salifu Amoako.

Her comments follow a tragic accident in East Legon on October 12, 2024, which resulted in the deaths of two girls.

Speaking on Onua Showtime on October 20, McBrown revealed that the pastor is like family to her and called on Ghanaians to keep him in their prayers.

“Bishop Salifu is like an uncle to me because he grew up in Kwadaso, and I saw him when he was starting his church. He is a very good man. This is not the time for people to hate him, and I plead for leniency from the law. I also pray that God strengthens him because he is going through a lot,” she said.

She also appealed to the families of the girls who died in the accident to forgive Pastor Salifu Amoako.

According to her, while the deaths are tragic, she hopes the families can find it in their hearts to forgive the pastor.

“I was present at the vigil held in East Legon. I saw the mother of one of the deceased, and you could see the pain she was going through. I know it is not easy to lose a child, but I want to plead with the families to forgive him,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Founder and Leader of Anointed Palace Chapel, Rev. Obofour, has also appealed to the families of the victims, asking them to forgive Pastor Salifu Amoako.

During one of his sermons, Rev. Obofour stated that Pastor Salifu is not a bad person and deserves mercy and compassion from Ghanaians.
