In a recent interview with the Echo Podcast, popular music mogul Don Jazzy opened up about a personal reflection that caught many by surprise.

When asked by the interviewer what part of himself he felt he had almost lost, the Mavin Records boss shared that he never thought he would still be unmarried.

“I never thought I would be 40-something and unmarried while growing up, so yeah, maybe I already lost that one. And I’m not bothered about it. If it comes, it comes.” He said.

Recall that before the ‘Mavin’ record owner rose to fame as one of Africa’s most successful music producers, he was briefly married in his early twenties.

He tied the knot with a model and writer, Michelle Jackson, in 2003 while living in London. However, the marriage lasted just two years before ending in divorce.

In past interviews, Don Jazzy has spoken candidly about the short-lived union, acknowledging its end to his all-consuming dedication to music.

He went on to share that balancing his passion for building a career and maintaining a family proved difficult at the time.

Despite the split, he often refers to Michelle, his ex-wife, as a “beautiful soul” and has maintained that they remain on good terms.

While fans and followers continue to speculate on his relationship status, Don Jazzy remains focused on his craft, unbothered by societal pressures to settle down.
