Kofi Adams is the Minister of Sports and Recreation

Minister of Sports and Recreation, Honorable Kofi Iddie Adams, has strongly condemned what he describes as a “fabricated and misleading” publication falsely attributed to him by sections of the media.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the Ministry demanded an immediate withdrawal and public apology from Multimedia for circulating a quote suggesting the Minister said he would personally be involved in Black Stars World Cup call-ups.

The Ministry insisted that Kofi Adams never made such a statement during his engagement on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show or in any related interview.

“The quote which stated that the minister had said he will be involved in Black Stars call-ups and selections was never stated during his engagement on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show or on any related interview,” the release clarified.

The Ministry also expressed deep concern over what it called a pattern of consistent misquoting, twisting of context, and deliberate misinformation by certain media outlets regarding the Minister’s engagements.

“These repeated inaccuracies have unfairly tainted public perception, stirred unnecessary controversy, and undermined the credibility of the Ministry,” the statement added.
