In an emotionally charged sermon following his wife’s 15-year jail sentence, Angel Asiamah, husband and junior pastor to evangelist Patricia “Agradaa” Asiamah, has disclosed that he, too, might soon be behind bars.

Speaking during church service after Agradaa’s imprisonment on July 6, 2025, Asiamah described his wife’s ordeal as all part of God’s plan for the growth of the ministry, likening it to the tribulations of biblical figures like the apostles who were sent on missions away from comfort.

He later revealed that he may end up suffering the same fate as Agradaa in prison but affirmed it would be part of God’s plan.

“As I stand before you today, it is possible that something may come up and I may end up joining my wife in prison.

“It’s all part of God’s mission and I have come to accept that,” he said.

He later led the congregation in prayer, pledging unwavering solidarity with Agradaa and encouraging members to stay grounded in faith during this testing period.

Agradaa was convicted on July 3, 2025, by an Accra Circuit Court and sentenced to 15 years in prison with hard labour for defrauding by false pretences and charlatanic advertisement.

She was found guilty of luring followers on a televised broadcast with false claims of spiritual abilities to double money.
