A Nigerian family’s long-awaited wish was finally granted as their son bid farewell to his dreadlocks, surprising his family with his new look.

The man @clinton2x shared the heartwarming moment he surprised his family with a new cut via video call and physical contact.

In the widely shared video, the man startled a woman presumed to be his mother while taking pictures together. His mother was taken aback and quickly embraced him before shouting how much she loved his new appearance.

Later, during a video chat with his grandmother and aunt, the women were so thrilled with his new appearance that his aunt declared him a true man, and his grandmother gave thanks to God, saying that she and God both approved of it.

Due to the family’s enthusiasm,  viewers speculated that the man’s dreadlocks might be the subject of multiple discussions and warnings.
