Ghana coach Otto Addo has emphasized the importance of securing a win against Chad in their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifier.

The Black Stars will face Chad on Thursday, September 4, in N’Djamena for Matchday 7 of the qualifiers.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, the 47-year-old tactician expressed confidence in his team’s ability to claim all three points.

“Our focus now is on the Chad game, and I hope we can secure a win,” Addo said.

Following the trip to Chad, Ghana will return to Accra to host Mali in Matchday 8 on Monday, September 8.

In preparation, the squad is scheduled for training sessions at the Accra Sports Stadium today and tomorrow morning before departing for N’Djamena.

Ghana currently leads Group I with 15 points from six matches, keeping them well-positioned for a fifth World Cup appearance.

The Black Stars will wrap up their qualifiers against Central African Republic and Comoros in October.
