Hiplife veteran,  Mzbel, has lamented over the fact that she hasn’t won any award despite being in the music industry for the past two years.

According to Mzbel, despite being a Ghanaian, she has received awards from Nigeria, Liberia, Kenya, Ivory Coast and other countries.

Speaking to Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, she said: “I have been in the industry for 20 years; I’ve never received any award.

She made the statement when talking about what she would do differently if she had yet to start music.

According to her, because she really didn’t prepare for a music career, she did things anyhow, and that in a way affected her.

“I am not blaming anybody. I think it is the branding.

If I were starting music today, I would put more effort into my branding.

The branding wasn’t put together well. I was just put out like that, with no proper branding. I would go on the radio and say anything, put on any outfit, go where I am not supposed to,” she said.
