Gospel musician Kofi Owusu Peprah has revealed that he had to resign from the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) because the job clashed with his music career.

Speaking on Hitz FM’s Hitz Praise Zone with Nii Noi, the Big God hitmaker revealed that his exit from the bureau happened about four years ago.

According to him, he was issued a query by his superiors while he was live on air during a radio interview at Hitz FM, which led to his decision to resign.

“I have left the BNI for about four years. It is in the studio that I received my query letter. Yes, in this house. I came for an interview. It’s a broken record but this is the first time I am being explicit about it,” he stated.

Kofi Peprah explained that the ethics of the intelligence agency prohibit officers from engaging in music or similar public activities. After the query, he was given two options: either resign from his position or delete all his music content from platforms like YouTube and stop pursuing music altogether.

“I was given the opportunity to resign or quit everything relating to music, pull down all my YouTube stuff, you know. Those are the ethics: so I am saying this so that if you are in it and you wanna do music you know what you are getting yourself into,” he added.

Kofi Owusu Peprah is now focused fully on his music career. He is currently preparing for a gospel concert scheduled for 17th August 2025 at Cedar Mountain Chapel in Accra.
