Ghanaian musician, D-Black (pictured) says he had a mental break but kept it to himself

Ghanaian musician, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore popularly known as D-Black, has disclosed the emotional challenge he faced in 2024.

In an interview with Pulse Ghana, shared on social media on June 24, 2025, D-Black noted that he kept such challenging times to himself.

He explained that the reason why he keeps such issues to himself is because he believes such situations can’t be solved when discussed with people.

“Last year, I was doing so much business-wise, I broke down and nobody knew. I told you I don’t show emotions so I just kept it because it is between me and my God. If I tell you, what are you going to do about it?” he said.

D-Black further noted that the only person he communicates with when facing emotional challenges is God.

He added, however, that he is currently in a good place.

“The only person who can help me is God so I tell him and in his time he makes everything work. But right now I am good,” he added.
