Ghanaian actor and comedian Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, popularly known as Ras Nene, has expressed his desire to see the Ghanaian movie industry flourish and compete strongly on the global stage.

Speaking in an interview on 3Music on October 10, 2025, Ras Nene said his greatest wish is for the Ghanaian film industry to maintain its relevance and not be overshadowed by productions from other countries.

“I always pray that other countries do not outshine the Ghanaian movie industry,” he said.

`My prayer is to have the strength to uplift and inspire the youth’ – Ras Nene

According to Ras Nene, his main focus now is to use his influence to promote young talents and help them build sustainable careers in the entertainment industry.

“I’m always about promoting the youth. I feel I’m famous enough, so the upcoming ones too can take over,” he stated.

The comedian added that he has attained enough fame and recognition over the years and now wishes to use his platform to uplift the next generation of actors and comedians.

“Wherever I’ve reached now, it’s enough for me. I’ve worked so hard over the years. Now, it’s my turn to use my fame to help the youth also shine,” he said.
