Nigerian Afrobeats star, Tiwa Savage says she doesn't mind being a second wife Nigerian Afrobeats star, Tiwa Savage says she doesn’t mind being a second wife

Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage set social media abuzz after expressing her openness to the idea of being a second wife in a polygamous marriage.

The singer made these remarks during her appearance on the Lip Service Podcast, which were later highlighted in a social media post.

‘I haven’t had sex for three years’ – Tiwa Savage asserts

Savage laid out her unconventional perspective, stating that she could potentially meet someone in their 50s or who is already married.

“If I can meet someone in their 50s or already married, maybe I can be a second wife,” Savage said.

She added that she would avoid problems with the first wife, stating, “She (the first wife) is going to love me because I’m not going to be troublesome. I’ll be going on tours, and I’m very respectful. I know that you’re going to be the first wife.”

The “Somebody’s Son” singer, however, acknowledged that her viewpoint would not be universally accepted, saying, “I know a lot of people are going to have a problem with that.”

True to her prediction, her comments were met with backlash on social media.

This is not the first time the artiste has sparked debates with her personal views on relationships, having previously faced criticisms from female fans for her stance on infidelity.
