Veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has disclosed that he doesn’t like to be referred to as a legend.

During an interview with IsBae U on Curiosity Made Me Ask, the actor revealed that he sees the title as a ‘scam.’

According to him, he believes that actors like Olu Jacobs, Pete Edochie, and the like deserve that title and he is not in their category yet.

He went on to add that anytime people refer to him as a legend, he sees himself as an old man who is looking forward to going on retirement.

“All those legend thing na scam, because I acted for four decades doesn’t mean I am a legend. I have my own legends, Uncle Olu Jacobs, Uncle Pete Edochie; those ones are our ancestors, our legends. I was still watching him when he was saying Ribena children are healthy children. So I don’t subscribe to that. I think it’s a scam when they call me a legend because they are trying to relegate me to that neighborhood of retired people or that I should be near retirement. So, no, I don’t subscribe to that; that’s why I am wearing sneakers with you people.” He said.
