Ayesha, wife of NBA star Steph Curry, has found herself back in the headlines after an old interview resurfaced online, sparking a debate over her candid reflections on marriage and motherhood.

In the interview with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper, which originally aired in late August 2025, the wife of Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry revealed that she never envisioned the family life she now leads.

“No. So I didn’t want kids. I didn’t want to get married,” Ayesha admitted when asked if she had imagined being a wife and mother while growing up. “I thought I was going to be ‘career girl,’ and that’s it,” she said.

Clips from the episode recently went viral, prompting waves of commentary on social media. However, the full interview shows a more nuanced story.

Ayesha explained that while she once focused solely on a career in entertainment, meeting Steph changed her path entirely.

“It happened so early in my life. After we got married, we found out we were pregnant so quickly, I didn’t even have time to think about what I wanted anymore,” she added.

She went on to reflect on the challenges of balancing personal goals with early motherhood, a struggle many young parents can relate to.

“After my daughter turned one, I remember there being a shift. I love being a mom, but I love doing other things too. I needed to figure out what that looks like for myself now,” she recalled.
