Diana Hamilton is a renowned gospel musician

Ghanaian gospel musician Diana Hamilton has shared her thoughts on the relevance of awards and her expectations for the upcoming 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).

Speaking in an interview with Adom TV on February 3, 2026, the award-winning singer stressed that her primary focus remains on ministry rather than awards.

When asked if she has filed for any of the nominations for the upcoming 2026 TGMAs, she replied, “I haven’t filed personally, but I’m sure members of my team have filed on my behalf.”

Addressing long-standing conversations about the line between ministry and the music industry, the gospel artiste said she firmly identifies as a minister of God,

She explained that over time, her work naturally gains industry recognition over time.

“I do ministry. And as I’m doing ministry, industry begins to appreciate it. It begins to give us recognition and acceptance and awards,” she explained.

Diana Hamilton emphasised that she does not pursue awards deliberately, noting that her focus is on fulfilling her divine calling.

“We don’t set out looking for awards. We do our God-given assignments,” she said.

However, she added that she remains grateful when her work is recognised, describing such moments as a blessing from God.

“If someone appreciates my work through awards, I would be grateful to God, because we minister through God, and God through us begins to bless people,” she added.

When asked whether she expects to be nominated, Diana Hamilton noted that she was leaving the outcome in the hands of God and the organisers, adding that her team had done its part.

“We’ve done our work, so we leave that to God and the organisers,” she stated.
