Rihanna celebrated the start of 2025 by revealing she maintained sobriety throughout the previous year.

In an Instagram video posted on January 1, the 36-year-old singer, along with friends, counted down to the New Year and stated that she stayed off alcohol throughout 2024.

“Y’all, I didn’t drink all year! I didn’t drink all year,” she said in the video which was captioned: “New Year, New Me.”

In another video, Rihanna demonstrated how to use her Fenty Hair shampoo and playfully washed a hair extension with a friend.

“You owe me a new bottle! For one stinkin’ track!” she stated. The music star captioned the video: “De Dirt!!! We walking into 2025 CLEANSED baby! 1 track at a time! Also tell @mdollas11 stay out my bathroom!”

Rihanna welcomed the New Year in New York City alongside her partner, A$AP Rocky, and their two sons, RZA, 2, and one-year-old Riot.

In an interview with PEOPLE in October, she revealed her preference for comfortable, practical clothing to manage her active lifestyle as a mother.

“Anything that’s cozy, anything that’s stretchy, anything that’s easy to bend down and pick my kids up in. Those are the things I look for,” she said. “Things that don’t scratch me, don’t scratch them. We’ve got a lot of work to do in a day of the life of a mom.”

A$AP Rocky has also lauded Rihanna’s dedication and efforts as a parent, describing her as a “great mom” who he is proud to share a family with.

It’s a brand new year for the music star who will be aiming for further success in her profession.

Rihanna has made it clear she’s committed to sobriety, and the Fenty mogul will be aiming to continue to find the right balance between family time and work in 2025.
