Ghanaian actress and musician, Yaa Jackson, is no stranger to controversy.

Over the years, she has gained attention and criticism for her bold lifestyle choices and provocative social media presence.

Many have argued that her lifestyle does not align with the cultural expectations of a young Ghanaian woman.

However, in response to the ongoing public scrutiny, her father, Jackson K. Bentum has finally spoken out.

In a recent interview on SeanCity TV, the popular movie director addressed the backlash surrounding his daughter’s image, making it clear that she is now an adult with the freedom to make her own decisions.

“She’s over 18 now. There’s little I can do to control her choices.”

Mr. Bentum explained that Yaa Jackson is not simply acting out but is deeply involved in the entertainment industry.

He said she now has a professional management team guiding her career and branding decisions.

He added that much of what the public sees, from daring outfits to suggestive photoshoots, is often part of a calculated showbiz strategy.

“It’s part of the branding. It’s the business of entertainment,” he emphasised.

However, Yaa Jackson’s father also revealed a more private, transformed side of his daughter that fans may not be aware of.

Since becoming a mother, he said Yaa Jackson’s outlook and style have changed significantly.

“Even when we’re on set, she no longer agrees to wear those revealing outfits. Motherhood has changed her a lot,” Mr. Bentum shared.
