The Nigerian spiritual public figure, Femi Lazarus has taken his time to lecture men and married men on their marital duties and responsibilities.

The pastor addresses the age-long resentment between daughters-in-law and mothers-in-law, citing the role of the husband in quelling it.

In his speech he tells men,

“from the moment you say ‘yes I do’ your priority should changed. It is dysfunction to say ‘I cannot love my wife more than my mom’ why did you marry her? Your mom has her own husband, how can she win in two places?…you say my mother suffered with me, one woman cannot…how did your wife become “one woman?” What affected your heart this much towards her…..”

Through this, Femi Lazarus was able to orientate men to respect their wives and be her shield. According to him, the mother-in-law should never have the upper hand in her son’s home. She also has her husband and cannot have the loyalties of ‘two husbands’.

Reacting, a netizen has this to say:

“victor_abiola: This teaching cannot be overemphasized because It’s very sad that many men don’t even realize this! Thank you Apostle!❤️”
