Young striker Dogo Yakubu has backed himself to flourish at his new club, Asante Kotoko.

The attacker completed his anticipated transfer to the Ghana Premier League giants on January 12, 2026, after completing a mandatory medical examination.

“Asante Kotoko is pleased to announce the signing of 21-year-old striker Dogo Yakubu on a three-and-a-half-year contract following the successful completion of his medical,” the Kumasi-based club announced in a notice on its website.

Speaking in his first interview, Dogo stated that he is confident he will succeed at his new club.

“I’m still young, and I believe I have a huge chance here to make a name for myself,” the young striker said.

Dogo continued, “Joining Kotoko is a big opportunity for my career, and I’m grateful for the trust the club has shown in me. I’m ready to work hard, learn every day, and take my chances when they come. I want to improve, score goals, and help the team succeed.”

Dogo Yakubu has joined the Ghana Premier League giants from Midcity Football Academy.
