A pregnant widow is grieving the loss of her husband, who was killed in a terrorist attack on Ghanaian tomato traders in Burkina Faso. The woman, who was expecting a child, had begged her husband not to travel, but he promised to return after this last trip. She’s now left to cope with the loss, pleading with authorities to help bring his body home .

The attack, which occurred on February 14, 2026, in Titao, northern Burkina Faso, claimed the lives of eight Ghanaian traders. The terrorists targeted the men, sparing the women, and set several trucks ablaze. The Ghanaian government has confirmed the incident and is working with local authorities to identify the victims and provide support to the affected families .

The incident has sparked outrage and calls for increased security measures to protect Ghanaian traders. The Ghana National Tomato Traders and Transporters Association has suspended imports from Burkina Faso until further notice .
