Shatta Wale has expressed discontent after being “dragged” online, following claims that he was not included in the list of artistes who performed at businessman Richard Nii-Armah Quaye’s 40th birthday party.
It is worth noting that the dancehall musician had previously expressed interest in attending the business mogul’s “showstopping” birthday celebration.
However, his absence from the event sparked massive reactions from netizens online.
Some fans of Shatta’s key industry rivals, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie, took the opportunity to throw jabs at him.
They mocked him for not being chosen while Stonebwoy and Sarkodie were.
In response to these criticisms, Shatta Wale fumed in a Facebook Live session, saying:
“If you talk about ‘power darkness,’ I am the one. If at any point you are told to pray against principalities and you are fond of insulting me, I am the one. I will continue worry you people because you are always talking about me. Ask Nii Armah how much he paid those artistes,” he said.
Shatta Wale also expressed dismay, pointing out that while he is working hard in the music industry, some individuals seem poised at tarnishing his image.
“You people don’t want me to prosper, so how do you expect me to also wish you well? I’m trying in the music industry. I’ve bought a car, a house, and even started my Shaxi business, yet you don’t want to accept that they are all mine.” he added.
