New Black Stars assistant coach Desmond Ofei has stressed his determination to assist head coach Otto Addo in ensuring the Ghana senior men’s national team excels.

Following his success with the Ghana U-20 men’s national team, Coach Ofei has been assigned a new role to support Coach Otto Addo.

Speaking in an interview ahead of the March international break, the young but highly rated Ghanaian tactician emphasized his commitment to working hard in his capacity as an assistant coach for the Black Stars.

“My role is quite simple. My role is to assist the head coach as best as I can. So, for me, it’s about hard work and support at any level possible and in any area that we feel needs improvement. So, from my side, it’s about hard work and helping the head coach as best as I can,” Coach Desmond Ofei told the Ghana FA’s media team in an interview.

Coach Desmond Ofei’s first assignment with the Black Stars will be during the upcoming March international break, where Ghana is scheduled to play against Chad and Madagascar in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The coach has assured that the Black Stars will do their best to secure positive results and make Ghanaians proud.
