Special features include H-shaped front and rear lights, a wireless charging pad for smartphones, 12.3-inch ‘infotainment’ systems and a UV-C Sterilization Tray in the glove box – which uses UV light to kill bacteria on commonly used items like phones and wallets.
The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe will come in 10 colours including terracotta orange, cream white, silver and ‘abyss black pearl’.
The current Hyundai Santa Fe model has front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, but the South Korean car company is yet to say whether they’ll take the next step and include four-wheel drive in the new range.

The model also has a longer wheelbase, maximising interior space with the second and third row seats able to be folded down.
‘The all-new Santa Fe is an SUV that finds a perfect balance between city life and the great outdoors, handling everything from busy family itineraries to camping adventures,’ Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Global Design Center, SangYup Lee, said.
‘With its longer wheelbase, roomy interior and terrace-like tailgate space, the new Santa Fe leans into its SUV strengths to offer more versatility than ever before with a premium customer experience.’
The interior is available in five colours – Obsidian Black, Supersonic Gray, Pecan Brown, Forest Green, and Black Ink

Eco-friendly materials have also been used with the black paint on the exterior trim made with recycled carbon.
The leatherette seats are made up of materials that ‘minimise human health hazards’, Hyundai said.
The new model also has a console space that can be opened by both rear and front passengers, along with a Digital Center Mirror, that allows the driver to see behind the car even if the boot is blocked.

Hyundai fans will have the choice of either a petrol engine or petrol-electric hybrid – with no diesel option available
In another clever feature, the 2024 Santa Fe comes with a New Driver Attention Warning system that monitors the driver’s eye and head movements and gives a warning if it detects drowsiness.
The vehicle will also be assisted to return to the centre of the lane if the car detects drifting.
Powering the Hyundai Santa Fe in Australia is expected to be a choice of a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, or a hybrid combining a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder with an electric motor.
A diesel engine will not be available in any market.
While the price for the 2024 model is unknown, it’s likely to be more than the $46,050 price tag for current Santa Fe models.
Boot space has also increased by 91 litres. The gear stick has also been moved from the centre console to the steering panel, with Apple Carplay and Android Audio another feature.
