A journalist at Lawson TV, Kofi Gyimah Ankoana, has advised young married men in the country to be cautious when eating food prepared by their wives.

In an interview on ‘De God Son TV’ on November 14, 2024, the renowned journalist noted that women are sometimes tempted to poison their husbands when they find their marriage unpleasant.

“I have seen a married couple who rented an apartment and immediately the man receives a salary, they stock up their fridge with meat. But when the man thought of building a house, the idea that came to the woman was that the man would leave her for another woman.

“So what some women do is to charm you through food by using menstrual blood and herbs. If the charm doesn’t work, she will start feeding you with a lot of salts in order to cause kidney problems, so as a man, if you are served food, firstly give some to your children and wait for some minutes or eat with your wife,” he said.

Kofi Gyimah Ankoana also recounted the ordeal he went through in his marriage.

“I remember when I bought an ash Nissan Sentra… Those days, the government rolled out a policy so teachers could afford that car, so it was easy to come by. So, female teachers owned cars a lot, and those who couldn’t drive were driven by their husbands.

“So my wife asked people to monitor me, and anytime I got home, you would see her raging because of the rumours people had told her that I was carrying women up and down. Meanwhile, it was not true.”

Kofi Gyimah Ankoana also advised young men to be careful about the type of marriage they go in for.

“If I die and I come back to their earth, I would never do a court wedding again. Not even a church wedding. That is why I am advising young men to think about it when settling down; because when you do that, you have sold your soul and body to the woman. I have gone through this; that is why I am telling young men,” he said.
