Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has sparked a buzz on social media with the release of his album, Iron Boy.

Netizens, including several celebrities, have warmly embraced the project, applauding Black Sherif for his artistry and unique sound.

Notable among the celebrities reacting to the album is dancehall musician Jupitar, who joined fans in praising Black Sherif for his exceptional craft.

In a tweet shared on X, Jupitar stated that Black Sherif is very deliberate in his music-making, emphasising that the album is far from ordinary.

Some netizens have even suggested that “Iron Boy” should be submitted for Grammy Award consideration.

“Iron Boy” is Black Sherif’s second full-length album, following the release of “The Villain I Never Was” in 2022 and a subsequent EP “Take Care of Yourself Blacko” in 2023.

    About the Album

Following its release on April 3, 2025, after much anticipation, the album captures 15 tracks.

It kicks off with “The Victory Song,” where Black Sherif reflects on his struggles in the trenches and how he overcame adversity to become who he is today.

He touched on the pain he endured, the fear he faced, and his determination to keep going despite the hardships.

The album closes with his popular track “January 9th,” one that has already earned significant attention.

Currently, the most talked-about songs on the album is “Where Dem Boyz,” which sits at number 10 on the tracklist.

There are also other tracks like “Rebel Music,” “Dreamer,” “Soma Obi,” “Body,” and “So It Goes.”
