ITV presenter, Laura Woods had a frightening moment during the broadcaster’s live buildup to England’s friendly against Ghana at St Mary’s Stadium on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
The 38-year-old, who was at the pitch side leading the pre-match coverage alongside pundits Ian Wright and Anita Asante, suddenly collapsed in full view of cameras.
The incident occurred just as Woods was preparing to introduce the coverage. Quick-thinking colleagues caught her before she hit the ground, and the broadcast immediately cut to a commercial break.
When coverage resumed, fellow presenter Katie Shanahan had stepped in, explaining to viewers that Woods had been taken ill.

Woods later took to Instagram to reassure fans, describing the moment as “a bit weird.”
“Sorry to worry everyone, I’m OK, the wonderful paramedics at Saints have said it’s probably a virus, just need a bit of rest and hydration. I’m really embarrassed that happened on TV, but a big thank you to my colleagues at ITV who have really looked after me tonight. And to Wright and Neets for catching me and sorry again,” she wrote.
Her fiancé, reality TV star Adam Collard, also addressed fans’ concerns on X, confirming that Woods was “all OK and with the right people” and thanking everyone for their kind messages.
The incident quickly made waves on social media, with many expressing relief that Woods was safe. Known for her work with ITV and TNT Sport, including Champions League coverage, Woods has built a reputation for her professionalism and composure.
