Athletic Bilbao attacker, Inaki Williams was left frustrated during the Black Stars’ 1-0 victory over Mali in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Inaki started the game from the bench after his lackluster performance in Ghana’s 1-1 draw against Chad in an away fixture.

The attacker was introduced into the game in the second half, along with Kamaldeen Sulemana and Joseph Paintsil, by head coach Otto Addo.

With less than 5 minutes to end the game, Ghana had a counterattack where Kamaldeen was running with the ball against a Mali player, with Inaki making a run on the other side, expecting to receive the pass.

However, Sulemana failed to pass the ball to his teammate and decided to take a shot, which went off target and resulted in a goal kick.

Inaki was seen expressing his frustration by throwing his hands in an angry manner.

Meanwhile, the win puts the Black Stars in pole position to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

After eight matches, Ghana lead Group I with 19 points, Madagascar are second with 16 points, Comoros are third with 15 points, while Mali lie fourth with 12 points.
